PayPal Now Accepts Nigeria: 3 Reasons You Shouldn’t Register Now

Good News!!! Nigerians internet users can now create and access paypal without the fear of getting ban due to ip or something because officially PayPal entered 10 countries this week, 3 African nations — Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Zimbabwe and five European MARKETS — Belarus, Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco and Montenegro, and also Paraguay including Nigeria, providing online payment alternatives for consumers via mobile phones or PCs.
This is long term dream everybody has been dreaming about, thanks to all who sign the petition to support paypal for nigeria and all who follow the Paypal Nigeria hashtag on twitter and now they’v listen to us by providing us with the access to use paypal.
paypal
Anybody from or in these countries can now legally use PayPal like other countries does around the world, but before you can decide on whether to create a Nigeria paypal account there are certain limitations in place for now which can hold you back from registering and thats the more reason why this article came up, below i’ll be highlighting the reasons why i can or you should not rush over to the registration page all in the name of “PayPal has allowed Nigeria, let me register and start transacting right away” there are 3 bad news and 1 good new from this paypal nigeria.

3 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Register A Nigeria Paypal Account As Of Now

1. Can’t Send Or Receive Money

Currently as of now, you can’t send money directly to other PayPal users and vise versa (you can’t receive payments directly with your PayPal account). I guess PayPal is trying to be on the safe side and see how it goes before allowing users in these countries full access to their services.

2. Can’t Link Nigerian Debit Cards

I’m pretty sure, since yesterday some of my facebook friends have been complaining of being unable to link their card to their paypal account, they’ve tried GTB Mastercard and it was unsuccessful, it displays error as shown in the image below.
PayPal-Nigeria-GeekNG.com_

Update: 19/06/2014 (2. Can’t Link Nigerian Debit Cards)

You Can Now Successfully Link GTB Master Card, UBA Africard, and Any Master card from any bank.

3. Can’t Link Bank Account

Theres also a problem linking bank account to your nigerian paypal account, i’ve tried adding my bank account but all i see was “Bank account isn’t available, paypal doesn’t offer this feature at the moment.
PayPal_Naija-GeekNG.com_
I’ve seen many people on facebook embracing this as a welcome development with a very huge hope that the service would be fully rolled out for Nigerians in future while others are very disappointed with the limitations.
Now that i’v highlighted the bad ones out the 4 news, whats the good news all about?
The good news is that you can check out on any merchant websites using PayPal as method of payment and pay securely using their credit or debit cards without their FINANCIAL details being exposed as claimed by PayPal this is free for users and any charge would be covered by the merchant.
And now let me show you why it’s useless now! (you can’t link your card, bank and can’t receive money!)
Now tell me how you’ll get it funded in order to fulfill the good news???
This is not bad at all for a start considering the hassles we have gone through when purchasing stuffs online. Hoping that other services will be included real soon.

Your Turn : Conclusions

As an online businessman and internet marketer, some of the most used method of payment is paypal and before now most of you might have been running paypal using proxies or VPN and now that Nigeria has been accepted into the program, what would you do with your foreign account? Is this the right time to ditch your foreign account for nigerian account?
As for me i’m still very much enjoying my USA and CHINA account than to ditch it for nigerian account with less features.

Nigeria joins PayPal

Global internet payment company, PayPal, last week announced it is extending its services to Nigeria, Zimbabwe and several other MARKETS. In Nigeria, there was agitation for PayPal to begin operations for a while.
The agitation gained momentum with the launch of a petition on Change.org asking PayPal to bring its service to Nigeria. The initiator of the petition, which was signed by 597 people including me, CreativityKills, a Lagos-based outfit said the petition has been resolved.
“Our petition has revolutionalized everything! We have been able to bring PayPal to Nigeria and some other African countries included,” he said.
The new markets are Belarus, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Monaco, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, Paraguay and Nigeria. Out of all the new markets, Forbes said Nigeria holds the biggest potential market for PayPal considering its over 60 million Internet users according to statistics from Euromonitor.
“PayPal has been going through a period of reinvention, refreshing many of its services to make them easier to use on mobile (phones), allowing us to expand into fast-developing markets,” Rupert Keeley, PayPal’s Vice President for the EMEA region, told Reuters.
However, PayPal will not launch all of its services in these news markets. According to Keeley, the company will only start off with the ‘send money’ feature, allowing customers to make payments to pre-approved international merchant sites. Local merchants will still be unable to receive payments via PayPal until sometime in the future.
Even though there are limitations to service availability in Nigeria, the addition of Nigeria to PayPal’s markets is good for the nation that is Africa’s biggest economy.
For many Nigerians, this is a dream come true. At the initial stage, one couldn’t link cards issued by Nigerian banks but now, PayPal is supporting Guarantee Trust Bank’s Master Card, United Bank for Africa’s Africard, and any other MasterCard issued by Nigerian banks.
Backed by PayPal, Nigerians can now make transactions on merchant websites; We can now find items that we want and pay securely with my Nigerian card using PayPal as an intermediary. The good thing is that FINANCIAL details are not exposed. Furthermore, PayPal is currently free as the cost of using the service would be incurred by the merchant.
Yes!
Like many Nigerians, I find it sad to note that before the ecommerce boom in Nigeria, PayPal was few words away from calling Nigerians criminals. But after watching the recent multibillion DOLLAR growth in the Nigerian online market, they suddenly developed interest and now want to look past our criminality.
A friend, Dayo, was so livid with anger. He said: “We don’t need them here. Nigerians have already stood up to fill in the gap, they are not better than Quickteller, CashEnvoy, VoguePay, SimplePay and all those great Nigerian processors that serviced our businesses when they left us to die out.
Paypal is not welcome for all I care.”
Dada, another friend also agreed with Dayo. “No, we do not need PayPal in Nigeria,” he said. “We have been served faithfully by local gateway providers e.g. Eyowo, Voguepay, CashEnvoy, SimplePay etc, all this while. Why has Paypal suddenly woken up to ‘allow us spend our money’ abroad? Capital Flight I say! We have survived and we will survive without PayPal. – my comment is addressed to merchants mostly, not consumers.”
I told both of them straightaway that to play on the international scene, he needs PayPal considering the fact that even though Nigeria’s ecommerce platforms are among the biggest in Africa, they are not yet as big as eBay which has lots of great offers. And you can’t blame them for being security conscious since there is no sure way of getting stolen money back.
To fellow Nigerians who share similar thoughts with my friends, to them I say I understand your pain. However, I feel you speak with too much rage within. Don’t forget that an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind, and I’m sure you too will stand to gain (either as a merchant or consumer) from this development if only you embrace it because, let’s face it; PayPal is the world’s largest payment processor.
Welcome to Nigeria, PayPal.
When I first started writing, non-availability of PayPal in Nigeria was a major setback to getting jobs as I was turned down severally on platforms that only paid writers through PayPal. But that is fast becoming a thing of the past with the advent on PayPal in Nigeria.
As far as I’m concerned, this is by far the biggest news since the advent of mobile communications in Nigeria and the launch of Konga.com and JUMIA Nigeria.
Nigerian newspaper, ThisDay, said PayPal’s debut in Nigeria would be a major boost to ecommerce.
It said: “Business for online shopping websites in Nigeria such as Jumia and Konga as well as banks, is set to get a major boost with the decision by PayPal, an international e-commerce payment and money transfer platform, to enter 10 new countries, including Nigeria.”
I believe when PayPal finally allows the platforms to become integrated on its platform, the local companies would be able to go global by being able to accept and process international orders without much hassle.
Even though PayPal seems to coming late to Nigeria, it is not yet too late for the payment company if it can quickly begin integration process with local merchants and lure users with offers they can’t get from MasterCard, Visa and others.
The company should understand that even though it would the market to grow, the market has been doing fine without it. PayPal cannot afford to fold their hands in Silicon Valley and expect Nigerians to beg for more; instead, it should get its best men on the next available flight to Lagos and schedule meetings with the movers and shakers of Nigeria’s booming ecommerce industry.
By and large though, there is money for everyone to make, they only need to work with – and trust each other.

Do You Know You Can Run An Android App On Your PC ?

Hey Guys, do you know today that what you don't think as a problem is what l believe you can not find solution for. This is amazing, That you can  Run Android Apps and do anything your Android phone can do on your PC like PING with BBM, WHATAPP, VIBER, on your PC, play all Android Game like Temple Run, Talking Cat etc,
Easy to do, just read down and get the link for the download and start enjoying this application on PC as if you are on Android Phone...

This App Player is a versatile program that bridges the gap between mobile and desktop by allowing users to run their favorite Android apps on their Windows or Mac OS X devices. An innovative "Cloud Connect" feature allows you to push apps from your Android device to Bluestacks, and vice versa. First released to the public in 2011, the program has continued to grow, and is currently free for download in its current beta form. Want to get a taste of Android on your desktop? Here's how to set up the app as well as a rundown of some of its controls and interesting features. Be sure to check out the BlueStacks review from our friends at LAPTOP, too.

1. Installing The Application

The App Player is available for Windows and OSX computers, and is a quick, compact install to your boot drive (there's no option in the installer to go to a different drive or directory). The only choice you make during the install is whether to allow the program to make notifications, as well as the option to opt in to BlueStacks Spotlight, which holds daily app giveaways.

2. The Home Screen

Once installed, it will boot up to its Home Screen, where you can access your installed apps, look up apps in the "Top Charts," search for apps, and access settings. You can use the mouse for basic touch controls here, with clicking and holding to simulate basic tap and swipe controls. From here, we'll need to do a bit more setup before you can get around to installing apps. You'll need to set up access to the Google Play store and associate a Google Account with this App

3. Setting up the App Store

With the app installed, the first thing you'll want to do is associate a Google Account so that you can get onto the Google Play store and download apps. Go to "My Apps" and click on "1-Click Sync Setup," which will bring up a wizard interface that will guide you through the process. Basically, you'll need to either create a Google account, or sign in with your existing one.

4. Setting up  BlueStacks Cloud Connect

An optional step for users with an Android smartphone or tablet is to set up BlueStacks CloudConnect, an app that allows you to push apps from your Android device to BlueStacks, and vice versa. Download Cloud Connect for your Android device, and then go to the Settings button on BlueStacks and click on "Cloud Connect".
If you have an Android phone, input an email address as well as your phone number. You will then receive instructions via email and SMS on how to connect your phone to the App, push apps, and sync SMS.
If you're running an Android tablet, you instead just use an email address to synch the app with your device. After registering Cloud

You should now be able to push apps between your device and BlueStacks. You're essentially istalling the same app on your desktop and mobile device, without syncing app data (such as login credentials or game progress). Still, it's an easy way to copy apps from your device to BlueStacks, or vice versa.

5. Installing & Running Apps

If you're not going to sync apps to and from your Android device, you can just use the built in App Search to search for and install apps from Google Play, Amazon, or 1Mobile.
It may seem confusing at first, but the app won't let you get to its three built-in app markets directly. You'll need to go through the App Search button. Type in the name of the app you're looking for, and it will search 1Mobile, Amazon, and Google Play for matches, and give you the option to install apps from any of the above three stores.
Once you've accessed one of the three app stores, you can then navigate that store. Within Google Play, for instance, you can take advantage of the store's search and other features.
Once you return to the Home Screen, your newly installed app should be ready to run. you can run an impressive variety of apps from social networking tools and multimedia apps to games. However, BlueStacks won't run everything, so expect a little trial and error for compatibility.

6. Controls & Settings

You should now have everything you need to install and run apps from it, so we'll finish up with some extra notes on in-app controls, as well as settings. Unless you happen to be running a touchscreen rig or a Windows 8 tablet, you're going to need some way to approximate pinch to zoom, as well as tilt controls.
Pinch to Zoom: Control +, or Control -
Tilt Controls: 'Z' or 'X' can be used to simulate tilting a device left or right.
BlueStacks supports the use of gamepad controls for many apps, which will be a godsend for users looking to play Android games on a PC. Plug in your controller, and Bluestacks should inform you if a particular app supports a controller.
Finally, the Settings menu (gear icon) contains assorted system settings for language, keyboard settings, contacts and account management, and an app manager for uninstalling applications and setting their default sizes.
There's your quick visual tour of the app.  App Player. It may not run every Android app perfectly, but it puts you just a mouse click away from thousands of compelling choices.
After you have read and enjoy the post go to the link download and start enjoying you self on your pc with all android application:

Installing BlueStacks
